BRENDAN HUNTLEY / MELBOURNE ART FAIR, 2010

BRENDAN HUNTLEY
FACE VALUE
HELL GALLERY AT MELBOURNE ART FAIR 2010 / BOOTH B70

Hell Gallery is proud to present an exhibition of new work by Brendan Huntley. Face Value embraces an all-new family of ceramic vessels and paintings, expanding Brendan’s investigations into individual and collective personalities. Without telling a story, each piece stands alone as a heavily imbued object. Some are friendly, some recognizably family. Some are thuggish and foe. All are linked by a static jostling for their place within the group.

Tickets $15 at door

Melbourne Art Fair has invited Hell Gallery to host a music event at Ding Dong on Friday 6th August, to celebrate the opening of this year's Art Fair. Beaches / 8.30pm
"Spectral harmonies and guitar drones subverting southern rock and pretty 1960s melodies"
(The Age)

Darren Sylvester / 9.30pm
Popular visual artist, Darren Sylvester layers an infectious blend of 80s driven guitar, synth and drums

Zond / 10.30pm
Maximum volume, minimalist sound. Zond is a looming car crash of a band who leave a burning trail of destruction in their wake

Into The Void (NZ) / 11.30pm
New Zealand's statesmen of space metal, led by iconic visual artist Ronnie van Hout. A caustic, chaotic, sprawling sonic extravagance
